Boston Herald: SW 'howling at door to success'

As we gear up to send 2016 straight to hell (where it belongs), the Boston Herald helps ease the hurt: We got two shouts in the December 9th edition from man about town Jed Gottleib, first in the Boston Music Awards 2016 coverage and second all by it's lonesome.  Here's the juicy bits:

Since forming in 2014, Salem Wolves have notched impressive local successes. Last December, Converse Rubber Tracks studio invited the band to record singles “Peach” and “Shameless.” In the spring, the group became a semifinalist at the Rock & Roll Rumble and played the Boston Calling Block Party. This fall, they got a nod for new artist of the year at the Boston Music Awards.

2017 is fast coming, and we have big plans. In the meantime, we're at Great Scott tonight with Cask Mouse, Diablogato and Nick the Barbarian. See ya at the show.

The Verb/BMAs know how to party

Oooh, my head. Last night at the Verb Hotel/Hojoko for the Viber Boston Music Awards Nomination Party was ballistic. We were too busy being loud and rowdy (see also: drunk) to capture the entire shindig for posterity. Luckily, we have some of the best fans in the land, so we've put together a repost roundup. Check out our Facebook or the Instagram below.

See you at the awards Thursday.

Salem Wolves play Boston Music Awards Viber Nomination Party December 5

2016 'New Artist of the Year’ nominees, Salem Wolves and Weakened Friends, along with Producer/DJ of the Year nominee Frank White will be performing at the Boston Music Awards Viber Nomination Party at The Verb Hotel and Hojoko on December 5th.

The free event is open to nominees and the public via RSVP.

The night will also be raising money and awareness for two local non-profit organizations, Girls Rock Campaign Boston and ZUMIX. The 6 finalists for ‘Photo of the Year’ — a new award in partnership with and for the benefit of the two organizations — will be on display for the first time.

The photos will be put to auction with 100% of the proceeds being split between GRCB and ZUMIX.

Halloween 2k16: SW covers Screamin' Jay Hawkins "I Put A Spell on You"

It's that time of year, folks. Salem Wolves is contractually obligated by our pact with the Dark Lord to produce a Halloween treat for our fans and friends. This year, we're giving you a taste of our upcoming debut album Tooth & Nail and previewing our cover of Screamin' Jay Hawkins "I Put a Spell on You" via Vanyaland. Perfect to get you in the mood for all the spooks and scares.

We had an insane evening playing a SOLD OUT show at The Sinclair with the Nashville lads of Diarrhea Planet and Western Medication. We can honestly say it was one of the most bananas show we've ever played. Thanks to the amazing staff at the Sinclair and to everyone who came out to get real weird with us in Cambridge.
